Golang Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using Go (Golang)
• Implement business logic and integrate with internal and third-party systems over REST/HTTP
• Improve system performance, reliability, and concurrency (caching, parallel processing, graceful degradation)
• Write automated tests and participate in code reviews and CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor, debug, and support production systems, including incident response
• Collaborate with mobile, platform, and integration teams on API contracts and feature delivery

Good to Have (Preferred, Not Mandatory)

API & Communication

• Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers (highly desirable)

• Service design, backward compatibility, unary/streaming patterns

Backend Patterns

• Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) / Server-driven UI
• Multi-region or multi-market systems
• Feature flags (e.g., LaunchDarkly, FeatureHub)
• Internationalisation support

Integrations

• GraphQL
• Headless CMS (e.g., Contentful)
• Analytics/event tracking systems
• Consent and privacy platforms

Infrastructure

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
• Additional AWS services (SNS, Lambda, VPC, Secrets Manager)

Tooling

• golangci-lint, Make-based builds
• Protobuf tooling and shared schemas
• CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)

Operations

• Queue handling (DLQ, retries, redrive)
• Performance tuning and optimisation
• Disaster recovery and deployment strategies
