Golden Gate + Oracle DBA

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle GoldenGate replication across development, test, and production environments.
• Manage and troubleshoot real-time data integration and replication issues between heterogeneous databases.
• Design, implement, and monitor GoldenGate architectures for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of GoldenGate implementations.
• Support and optimize database replication, including change data capture (CDC) and bidirectional replication.
• Collaborate with development and system administration teams to optimize data flows and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
• Implement patching and upgrades to GoldenGate and Oracle databases.
• Monitor, analyze, and resolve replication errors and lag.
• Provide detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Train and mentor junior DBAs and other team members.
• Perform backup and restore operations, ensuring data integrity and security.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 12 years of experience as an Oracle DBA with a strong focus on Oracle GoldenGate.
• Expertise in Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Deep understanding of replication, data integration, and change data capture (CDC) technologies.
• Proficiency in Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL scripting. - Experience working with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Oracle Data Guard.
• Strong knowledge of networking and database security principles.
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
• Proven experience with database migration and upgrade projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Oracle GoldenGate certification.
• Experience with cloud-based deployments of Oracle databases and GoldenGate.
• Knowledge of other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and replication tools.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
