Duties

• Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of all golf course equipment, including mowers, carts, and power tools
• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines, small engines, and mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and conduct electrical diagnostics on various equipment systems
• Manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies necessary for equipment repair and maintenance
• Conduct preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
• Lead safety protocols during manual handling, heavy lifting, and equipment repairs to ensure a safe working environment
• Collaborate with course management to coordinate equipment needs for daily operations and special events

Skills

• Proven dealership experience with heavy machinery or automotive repair background preferred
• Extensive service technician experience with diesel engines, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of schematics, electrical diagnostics, power generation systems, and engine repair techniques
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other mechanical repair tools
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately for efficient repairs
• Excellent customer service skills when interacting with staff or external vendors
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly
• Knowledge of Foley reel and bedknife grinders/maintain and adjust reels for maximum efficiency
• Positive attitude, ability to work with others, wants to continue learning
