Golf Course Equipment Operator

We're building a team that is focused on enhancing the experience of our members and guests at Savannah Lakes Village. Our Equipment Operators keep the Tara and Monticello golf courses in top condition by mowing and maintaining greens, tees, fairways, and roughs, and caring for the equipment that makes it happen.

Here's what you'll do

• Mow greens, tees, fairways, aprons, roughs, and approaches using gang, rotary, and tri-plex mowers
• Operate aerifiers, turf vacuums, bunker rakes, verticutters, sod cutters, spray rigs, and fertilizer spreaders as directed
• Adjust mowers to maintain a quality cut
• Check fuel, oil, fluid levels, and cooling systems daily; clean equipment and report any problems to the mechanic
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and other course maintenance duties as assigned

Here's what we are looking for

• A great attitude and a drive for continuously improving

• Knowledge of safe operation of tractors, trucks, and other motorized equipment
• Ability to follow oral and written directions
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to walk 4 to 5 miles per day on uneven terrain and lift 50 pounds unaided (up to 75 pounds with a team lift)
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather, with early mornings and occasional weekends or holidays
• One year of golf course maintenance experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
