Golf Course Maintenance Worker

Duties

• Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, and planting to keep the course visually appealing and healthy
• Operate power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with irrigation system setup, adjustments, and repairs to ensure optimal watering of turf and plants
• Maintain bunkers, greens, fairways, and roughs by raking sand traps and ensuring smooth playing surfaces
• Conduct regular inspections of the course grounds for hazards or damaged areas requiring repair or attention
• Support general gardening tasks such as fertilizing, aerating soil, pruning trees or shrubs, and planting new greenery
• Use hand tools for detailed landscaping tasks and minor repairs around the course to uphold high standards of presentation and safety

Experience

• Previous experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is preferred but not required; training will be provided for eager learners
• Familiarity with horticulture principles and turf management techniques is a plus
• Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely with proper technique
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and basic land maintenance practices is advantageous
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive approach to course upkeep
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels
• Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other groundskeeping staff
