Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair golf course grounds, including fairways, greens, tees, bunkers, and rough areas using appropriate landscaping and gardening techniques.
• Operate groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently.
• Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of turf rolls, soil, mulch, or other materials necessary for landscape maintenance.
• Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues to maintain healthy turf conditions.
• Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to control pests and promote healthy growth while adhering to environmental regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment for maintenance needs; perform minor repairs or coordinate with specialists for complex repairs.
• Assist in aerating, fertilizing, aerifying greens, and other specialized golf course maintenance activities to optimize playability.

Qualifications

• Preferred prior experience in groundskeeping, landscape maintenance or athletic field groundskeeping is highly desirable.
• Preferred knowledge of irrigation systems, pesticide management, and horticulture practices.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, and grounds maintenance equipment with a strong focus on safety procedures.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and operating company vehicles or specialized landscaping machinery.
• Strong understanding of lawn care techniques, gardening practices, and overall landscaping principles.
• Excellent attention to detail combined with physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and social security card; certification in pesticide application or equipment maintenance is a plus.

Pay: $11.50 - $13.50 per hour
