What they need
About Honeywell Golf Course
Honeywell Golf Course is a premier public facility offering a dynamic "tale of two nines" layout:
- Front Nine: Designed in the 1940s by William Diddel, featuring classic, expansive holes leading to smaller, undulating greens.
- Back Nine: Designed in the 1980s by Arthur Hills, offering shorter, narrower corridors requiring strategic placement and accuracy into larger greens.
The facility spans four sets of tees measuring between 5,021 and 6,444 yards. Honeywell has consistently invested in infrastructure upgrades to maintain championship standards:
- 2020: Complete bunker renovation designed by Ron Kern and constructed by Chris Lutzke utilizing Better Billy Bunker systems.
- 2021: Total cart path renovation with fresh asphalt across all paths and parking areas.
- 2023: Full installation of a new Rain Bird 2-wire, double-row irrigation system by Commercial Irrigation and Turf, Inc.
Honeywell has hosted prestigious events including the Indiana State Open, PGA State Championships, PGA State Junior Championships, and HCAC Golf Championships. It serves as the home course for local high school and middle school teams from Wabash and Northfield.
