The Cliffs Kangaroo Island is entering an exciting stage of its development, and we’re looking for an experienced Golf Operations Manager to join our Kangaroo Island Operations Team.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager – Operations Kangaroo Island, you’ll lead the day-to-day operational delivery of golf at The Cliffs and the Golf Service Operations Team.

Your focus will be the golfer experience, from arrival at the golf course and check-in through to completion of their day on the course.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Day-to-day golf operations and the golfer experience
• Pro-shop operations, retail and merchandising
• Guest welcome and golf check-in
• Golf carts, hire clubs and associated equipment
• Daily play and golfer movements
• Leadership, rostering and development of the Golf Service Operations Team
• Operational delivery of golf groups and events
• Financial and operational performance
• WHS, compliance and operational risk
• Developing and continually improving operational systems, procedures and service standards

Working closely with the Golf Superintendent, Sales & Product Development and the broader Seafront Group team, you’ll lead the on-ground delivery of the golf experience at The Cliffs.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced golf operations professional who combines a strong understanding of the game with great people leadership, commercial awareness and a genuine commitment to delivering an exceptional golfer experience.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Demonstrated experience in golf operations or a comparable golf management environment
• Strong knowledge of golf operations and service standards within a quality golf environment
• Proven experience leading and developing a guest-focused operational team
• Sound commercial and financial management capability
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
• A practical, hands-on approach to leadership
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a broader operational team

PGA membership or experience as a Golf Professional would be highly regarded, although it is not essential to the role.

Experience developing or improving operational systems, procedures and service standards will also be highly regarded, as will relevant golf, business, hospitality or management qualifications.

A current Australian driver’s licence is required.
