What they need

About Country Club and the new Championship Golf Course:

At Country Club Tasmania, we’re building something truly special — a new championship golf course designed to rival some of the world’s best.

Created by globally respected architect Robin Gibson, our new par 72, 18-hole Championship Course will be situated within a beautifully landscaped parkland precinct, inspired by some of the finest courses in North America and the UK. Make no mistake, what’s coming is a landmark in every sense of the word. It’s a course that rewards thoughtful play and invites golfers to return again and again.

Scheduled to open in Summer 2026/27, it will offer a visually stunning and challenging experience and we’re now looking for a retail professional to join us as our Golf Shop Supervisor!

What you can expect in a day in the role:

The Golf Shop Supervisor oversees the daily operation of the Golf Shop, ensuring efficient tee time management, professional guest interactions and seamless coordination with course and guest services teams.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Oversee daily Golf Shop operations and team coordination.

  • Manage tee sheet execution and booking accuracy.

  • Ensure efficient and professional guest check-in processes.

  • Coordinate player flow between Golf Shop and tee staging.

  • Supervise retail transactions and customer service standards.

  • Process and supervise point-of-sale transactions, including retail sales, bookings, payments and related reconciliations.

  • Provide guidance and support to Golf Shop Attendants.

  • Liaise with Course Services on timing and guest needs.

  • Support retail initiatives and merchandising standards.

  • Supervise the stocking, presentation and monitoring of the grab-and-go food and beverage section, including compliance with RSA requirements for pre-packaged alcohol offerings.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Given the specialised nature of this role, you’ll bring strong experience supervising or coordinating a small frontline team, including task allocation, coaching service standards and supporting daily operational flow.

The successful candidate will also bring the following:

  • Experience in premium retail or high-quality customer service environments, with demonstrated capability in frontline supervision, polished guest engagement, retail presentation standards and daily store coordination.

  • Ability to deliver personalised service to a sophisticated customer base, using sound judgement, strong communication skills and a practical understanding of retail operations.

  • Ability to quickly acquire the operational knowledge required for golf shop coordination, including tee sheet management, guest check-in, player flow and related systems.

As well as the following licences and qualifications:

  • Tasmanian recognised Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)

  • Certificate III in Retail, Certificate IV in Retail Management, or other relevant qualification in retail, customer service, hospitality, business or frontline management is desirable.

An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.

What you can expect from us:

Country Club Tasmania is a proud part of Federal Hospitality (including Wrest Point, Saffire, and Macq01 to name a few) and offers:

  • Free parking onsite and fully laundered and tailored staff uniform

  • Free meal on every shift from our onsite staff canteen
