Google Cloud Implementation Engineer

MEDITECH International Services, a world leader in Electronic Healthcare are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Cloud Implementation Engineer to join the team. The Implementation Engineer is an L3 Cloud Engineer responsible for implementing, maintaining and supporting MEDITECH’s managed public cloud environments.

The role performs cloud deployment, complex technical changes, L3 standby, disaster recovery and technical escalation activities.

Security and Architecture are core responsibilities of the Cloud Implementation Engineering function. Implementation Engineers are expected to contribute to both disciplines according to their level of competency, including security remediation, implementation of approved controls and architecture, maintenance of assigned technical documentation and evidence, and identification and escalation of technical risks.

Applicants must have the following skills and competences in order to be considered for this role.

• Relevant experience and competency working with Google Cloud.
• Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer certification.
• Good understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS and networking.
• Basic working knowledge of Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with VPNs, subnets, firewall rules and load balancers.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and proven technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently on assigned technical activities.
• Working knowledge of backup, restore and disaster recovery processes.
• Ability to participate in L3 standby.

Pay: R410 000,00 - R700 000,00 per year
