Governance and Risk Advisor

We're looking for a highly organised Governance & Risk Advisor to play a pivotal role in supporting our Council, committees, and enterprise risk management activities.

About the Role

Reporting to the Legal Director, with a functional reporting line to the Council Chair, you'll provide governance and risk support across MIT and Unitec.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating Council and Committee meetings
• Preparing agendas, board papers, and meeting minutes
• Maintaining governance records, registers, and annual workplans
• Supporting enterprise risk management activities
• Tracking actions and follow-ups
• Building strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders

About You

You'll bring:

• Experience in governance, board support, legal administration, or executive support
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
• Confidence working with senior leaders and stakeholders
• A proactive, professional, and solutions-focused approach
