URGENT HIRING – GOVERNMENT TEACHER

Salary: ₦100,000 – ₦200,000 Monthly

Job Summary:
A reputable school in Surulere is seeking an experienced and passionate Government Teacher to teach students effectively and prepare them for academic success and external examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Government lessons according to the school curriculum.
• Prepare lesson notes, teaching materials and classroom activities.
• Teach topics such as Nigerian government, political systems, civic structures and international relations.
• Prepare students for WAEC, NECO and other external examinations.
• Set and mark tests, assignments, quizzes and examinations.
• Monitor students’ academic progress and provide additional support where necessary.
• Encourage critical thinking, discussions and active participation in class.
• Maintain proper classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
• Keep accurate records of students’ academic performance.
• Participate in school meetings, academic activities and extracurricular programmes.

Requirements:

• B.Sc./B.Ed. in Political Science, Government, Education/Social Studies or a related field.
• 3 – 5 years of teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of the secondary school Government curriculum.
• Experience preparing students for WAEC/NECO is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, classroom management and interpersonal skills.
• Must be organized, passionate, patient and result-oriented.
• Ability to explain political and governmental concepts clearly to students.
