Government Relation & Permit Manager

About the role

Job Descriptions:

• Liaison with ministries in Central Government on mining, forestry, environmental, investment, transportation, and infrastructure matters.
• Establish and govern company-wide regulatory compliance frameworks covering mining licenses, forestry permits, environmental permits, and operational compliance.
• Develop and implement compliance monitoring systems to strengthen licensing governance and reduce regulatory exposure.
• Represent the company during strategic negotiations, policy consultations, regulatory audits, investigations, and dispute resolution with central authorities.
• Provide strategic direction to site government relations and ensure consistent execution of government affairs strategies across operational sites.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Mining Engineering, Forestry, Public Administration, Political Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in government affairs, regulatory compliance or permitting.
• Minimum 5 years in executive leadership roles within mining industries.
• Good network within central government institutions, ministries, regulators, and national strategic stakeholders in Jakarta.
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian mining law, forestry regulations, and environmental compliance.
