Are you looking for a GP role where traditional, relationship-based general practice is supported by modern systems, strong teamwork and a genuinely positive working culture?

Alexander House Surgery is expanding, and we are looking for one or two salaried GPs to join our established team of nine GPs. We have a total of 10–12 sessions available and are happy to consider applicants seeking either a smaller or larger number of sessions.

We are a friendly, forward-thinking two-site practice with a growing patient list. We remain committed to the named-GP model and offer significantly more face-to-face appointments than remote consultations, enabling our clinicians to build meaningful, long-term relationships with their patients.

Continuous digital and operational transformation has helped us preserve this traditional style of general practice while prioritising patient care and the work–life balance of our team.

A supportive way of working

Our salaried GPs and partners undertake a proportionate share of duty-doctor sessions, based on list size. The duty doctor is supported by other GPs and a skilled multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals.

Just as importantly, we are a sociable and close-knit team. We protect our coffee breaks and lunchtimes, regularly spend time together both inside and outside work, and value every person’s contribution.
