GP Practice Manager

About the role

As the Practice Manager you are responsible for the operations and financial management of the Medical Centre. This includes the day-to-day coordination of, but not limited to, staff, resources, maintenance, training, that supports the success of the practice operations. At the same time ensure both our doctor and patient groups are receiving high customer services that exceeds their expectation and is delivered safely and in accordance with Company and Statutory compliance. Currently looking to fill a Part-time role with the potential to expand to a Full-time role.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for the management, direction and operation of the reception desk to ensure quality service outcomes to both Doctors and patients on a day-to-day basis while achieving cost and productivity targets
• Weekly analysis and reporting of the Practice performance that meets expected KPI's
• Be an escalation point for doctor and patient complaints
• Manage and achieve set KPI's and contribute to the strategic direction of the practice.
• Manage the improvements opportunity register and action register.
• Daily management of internal cash collections, including petty cash
• Fortnightly management of doctor and staff rosters and timesheet submissions to payroll
• Weekly review and management of Debtors ledger and associated activities
• Ensure appropriate levels of stock and equipment are being maintained
• Maintain RACGP accreditation standards for the practice

About you

• At least two (2) years experience working within a medical centre environment desirable but not essential
• Knowledge of Medicare processes and applications highly regarded along with Best Practice experience.
• May be required to work occasional shifts including weekends in the absence of reception staff.
• Local travel maybe required
• Drivers licence maybe required for this role
• Participate in Occupational Health and Safety training
• Commit to ongoing professional development
