GP Receptionist

Deal Tree Health Centre is a modern, well equipped facility offering an excellent working environment and free parking. We are looking for a part-time, enthusiastic Receptionist to join our friendly and busy team.

This post is for 16.5 hours per week – Monday: 7:45am – 1.15pm, Tuesday: 1:00pm – 6.30pm and Friday: 1.00pm – 6.30pm. Immediate start.

The Practice opening times are 8.00am-6.30pm, Monday-Friday. Flexibility to offer cover for annual leave and sickness absence of colleagues is desirable.

The main responsibilities of the role will include:

§ Arranging appointments

§ Face-to-face interaction with patients, carers, guardians

§ Dealing with general queries

§ Actioning daily Tasks

This is an evolving role and is subject to change.

The ideal candidate will need to have:

§ Excellent communication and organisational skills

§ A good telephone manner

§ The ability to work under pressure and to always maintain confidentiality

§ The ability to communicate with other members of the primary health care team

§ Good time management skills

§ Excellent attention to detail

§ Be a Team player

Previous general practice experience and knowledge of SystmOne is desirable but not essential. Training will be provided.

Salary: £12.71 - £13.15 per hour dependent on experience.
