Pay: From R180–R200 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

About Maddy’s Masterclass Maddy’s Masterclass is a growing online academic tutoring service providing personalised academic support to high-school students across IEB, CAPS and Cambridge curricula. We are currently experiencing increased demand for Accounting tuition and are looking for a confident, knowledgeable and reliable Accounting tutor to join our tutoring team as soon as possible.

The Role : We are looking for an Accounting tutor who is comfortable teaching students from Grades 10–12, with a particularly strong understanding of Grade 12 Accounting and examination preparation.

Our current students require support with areas including:

Grade 12 CAPS/SACAI and IEB Accounting Paper 1 and Paper 2 preparation

Financial statements

Company accounts

• Cash flow statements Interpretation and analysis
• Cost and managerial accounting
• Cash budgets
• Projected income statements
• Bank reconciliations
• Exam technique and unfamiliar/problem-solving questions
• Past papers and preliminary/final examination preparation

What We’re Looking For :

• The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background in Accounting and be able to explain difficult concepts clearly and patiently.
• Teaching/tutoring experience is highly advantageous.
• Applications are particularly welcome from qualified teachers, education students, Accounting students/graduates, BCom students/graduates, or experienced private tutors with excellent Accounting knowledge.
• Because our students are approaching important examinations, we need someone who is reliable, responsive and able to begin taking students soon.
• Tutors should also be comfortable providing brief feedback following lessons and communicating professionally with the Maddy’s Masterclass team.

Requirements Applicants should have:

• Excellent knowledge of high-school Accounting Strong understanding of Grade 12 examination-level work Familiarity with CAPS/SACAI and/or IEB
• Accounting Reliable internet connection Laptop/computer suitable for online teaching
• Ability to conduct lessons via Google Meet or Microsoft Teams
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Professionalism and reliability
• Availability for regular weekly students
• Evening and/or weekend availability would be particularly advantageous.

What We Provide:

• Maddy’s Masterclass handles student acquisition, parent communication, scheduling support and administration, allowing tutors to focus primarily on teaching and supporting their students.
• As our tutoring business continues to grow, there may also be opportunities to take on additional students and teaching hours.
