About the Role

You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a motor grader on civil construction projects, delivering high-quality road formation, maintenance grading and final trim works to specification.

Working alongside experienced supervisors you'll play a key role in delivering quality outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate graders on road construction and maintenance projects.
• Carry out final trim grading to design tolerances.
• Construct road formations, shoulders, drainage and pavement layers.
• Spread, trim and finish gravel and road base materials.
• Work from GPS, laser and survey set-out where required.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance.
• Maintain accurate grades, crossfalls and finished surfaces.
• Work closely with supervisors, surveyors and other operators.
• Follow project specifications and quality requirements.
• Promote a safe and productive work environment.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for operators who have:

• Minimum 3 years' grader operating experience.
• Proven experience in civil road construction or maintenance.
• Final trim experience (GPS experience highly regarded).
• Strong understanding of road construction and grading techniques.
• Current Driver's Licence (HR preferred).
• White Card.
• Grader Operator Ticket (or equivalent).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
