Watkins Site Development is looking for experienced, hardworking, and dependable individuals to join our growing team! We are hiring for multiple positions within our grading and site development crews, including Foremen, Heavy Equipment Operators, and Construction Laborers.

Our team works on commercial and heavy civil construction projects, performing grading, earthwork, site preparation, and other essential site development activities. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, prioritize safety, and are committed to completing projects efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Positions Available

• Grading Foreman: Lead crews, coordinate daily activities, interpret grading plans, monitor productivity, and ensure work is completed safely and according to project specifications.
• Heavy Equipment Operators: Operate construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, motor graders, skid steers, and other equipment used for grading and site preparation.
• Construction Laborers: Assist with site preparation, grading operations, material handling, cleanup, and general construction duties.
• Additional Skilled Positions: Experienced individuals with backgrounds in site development, earthwork, underground utilities, or heavy civil construction are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform grading, earthwork, and site preparation according to project plans and specifications.
• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently, as applicable to the position.
• Assist with clearing, excavation, grading, drainage, and other site development activities.
• Read and follow construction drawings, grading plans, and project instructions.
• Work collaboratively with crew members, supervisors, project managers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe construction site.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable OSHA regulations.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs or unsafe conditions.
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
• Support daily construction operations and complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in grading, site development, earthwork, or heavy civil construction is preferred.
• Experience operating heavy equipment is required for operator positions.
• Previous crew leadership experience is preferred for foreman positions.
• Ability to follow instructions, work as part of a team, and maintain a strong work ethic.
• Knowledge of construction site safety practices.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks when required.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to producing quality work.
• Valid driver's license and relevant equipment certifications are preferred where applicable.
• Ability to read and interpret grading plans is a plus, particularly for supervisory and skilled positions.

Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 50.0 per week
