Grading Foreman w/GPS Experience

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Grading Foreman with GPS expertise to lead grading operations on heavy civil construction sites. In this pivotal role, you will oversee grading crews, ensure precise earthwork execution, and utilize advanced GPS technology to achieve project accuracy and efficiency. Duties

• Supervise grading crews, coordinate daily tasks, and manage team performance to meet project deadlines.
• Operate and interpret GPS-guided grading equipment to achieve precise earthwork contours according to technical drawings and project specifications.
• Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical plans to ensure accurate implementation of grading requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop and adjust construction schedules, ensuring seamless schedule coordination.
• Conduct quality control inspections on graded surfaces, verify compliance with safety regulations including OSHA standards, and document progress using construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam.
• Manage safety protocols on-site by enforcing federal construction safety regulations and conducting regular safety meetings.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, manage crew management logistics, and ensure adherence to construction regulations for commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Grading Foreman or in a supervisory role within heavy civil or commercial construction projects.
• Extensive knowledge of GPS technology applied to grading operations and proficiency with construction management software.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing teams in a construction management role with excellent managerial communication skills.
• Familiarity with construction scheduling techniques and project scheduling tools to coordinate activities effectively.
• Knowledge of construction safety management practices aligned with OSHA standards and federal safety regulations.
• Experience supervising crews on large-scale projects involving pipeline work or other heavy civil infrastructure is preferred.
• Valid certifications in OSHA safety standards; additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation or GPS technology are advantageous.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
