GRADUATE ACCOUNTANT (BUSINESS SERVICES/TAX)

About the role

Reports to Partners and Senior Accountants managing a range of client affairs under direction. This role requires the candidate to complete work under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately complete clients' source documentation for processing including bank reconciliations
• Completion of client income tax returns
• Preparation of draft financial statements
• Prepare Activity Statements to review stage
• Identify where various items are represented on statements
• Provide supporting documentation and clearly articulate and prove how certain figures/outcomes were achieved and why
• Competent with programs such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Reckon and BGL at basic levels
• Strong Excel and Word skills
• Access ATO portal for client information and BAS lodgement
• Attend structured training events
