The opportunity

Join our graduate apprenticeship programme and develop the technical, commercial and relationship-building skills needed for a successful career in accountancy.

As an ACCA Approved Employer, we will support you through your ACCA exams, usually over three years. Our aim is to help you become fully qualified and, over time, take responsibility for your own portfolio of small-business and tax clients.

What you’ll learn and do

· Prepare accounts for owner-managed businesses.

· Support the calculation of business and personal taxes.

· Assist with payroll work and related client queries.

· Help clients adopt cloud accounting systems and improve their digital processes.

· Build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.

· Take on greater responsibility as your knowledge and confidence develop.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative person who is ready to learn and committed to delivering high-quality work.

You should bring:

· Strong numerical and data-analysis skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Careful attention to detail.

· A positive, proactive approach to learning.

· The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

· Education to university level or an equivalent qualification or level of experience.

Training and career progression

You will receive structured support for your ACCA studies alongside practical, on-the-job training. You will gain experience across accounts, tax, payroll, digital systems and client service, with opportunities to progress as your capabilities grow.

Location

The role is based in our Banchory office. Applicants must be able to commute reliably to Banchory, AB31 5SR, or plan to relocate before starting work. Office attendance is important while you learn the role; remote flexible working may become available as you progress because most of our systems are cloud-based.
