Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Automation Engineer to join our growing team at We Automation Pte Ltd. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates who are interested in industrial automation, PLC programming, HMI, and SCADA systems.

You will gain hands-on experience in automation engineering through project assignments, technical training, and on-site exposure. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will develop the technical skills needed to design, program, test, commission, and support industrial automation systems.

Responsibilities:

PLC, HMI and SCADA Programming:

• Assist in developing and modifying PLC programs, HMI applications, and SCADA systems based on project requirements.
• Learn and apply PLC programming techniques, including ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams.
• Assist in configuring and testing automation systems under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Electrical Drawings and Technical Documentation:

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Assist in preparing and updating technical documentation, such as electrical drawings, PLC programs, HMI/SCADA documentation, I/O lists, software backups, testing and commissioning reports, and etc.
• Work with the engineering team to understand control system designs and project requirements.

Installation, Testing and Commissioning:

• Participate in the installation, testing, and commissioning of industrial automation systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting PLC, HMI, SCADA, and control system issues.
• Perform on-site testing and verification to ensure systems operate according to project specifications.

Industrial Communication and System Integration:

• Learn to configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP.
• Assist in integrating PLCs, SCADA systems, instrumentation, and other industrial devices.
• Support communication testing and data verification between automation components.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Assist in providing technical support for existing automation systems.
• Investigate system issues and work with senior engineers to identify and implement solutions.
• Participate in maintenance, system upgrades, and improvement projects.

Documentation:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all automation solutions, including design specifications, user manuals, drawing, and troubleshooting guides.

Learning and Development:

• Develop practical knowledge of industrial automation technologies, engineering standards, and industry best practices.
• Keep up to date with new automation technologies and engineering practices.
• Take on increasing technical responsibilities as skills and experience develop.
• Perform other related engineering duties as required to support project and operational needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. No prior working experience is required.
• Basic understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, or industrial automation.
• Familiarity with PLC programming, HMI, or SCADA systems is an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics, or a willingness to learn.
• Good problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Able to work independently when required and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Good communication skills and a responsible approach to work.
• Willingness to travel for on-site project work, installation, testing, and commissioning when required.
