Job Summary The Office of Digital Engagement, Marketing, and Information Technology is seeking a Graduate Communications Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position. Join Oregon State University’s Digital Engagement, Marketing, and Information Technology (DEM&IT) team to help prospective graduate students navigate the path from initial interest through enrollment. As Graduate Communications Coordinator, you will develop, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate timely, accessible, personalized recruitment communications in Graduate Slate for university-wide campaigns and individual academic programs.

Reporting to Blake Vawter, Director of Enrollment Marketing, you will translate approved campaign strategy and priorities into communication plans, content, and production schedules. You will work with Graduate CRM Manager Ben Todd and graduate program partners to verify content, deadlines, audiences, and campaign readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate approved graduate recruitment priorities into communication plans and production schedules.
  • Build, test, schedule, deliver, and monitor Graduate Slate communications across inquiry, application, admission, yield, and enrollment stages.
  • Write, edit, and adapt clear, accessible graduate recruitment content for varied programs and audiences.
  • Apply approved segmentation and personalization; check links, dates, audience logic, timing, accessibility, and rendering before deployment.
  • Coordinate program details, approvals, and campaign calendars with graduate and enrollment partners.
  • Track delivery and engagement, support tests, recommend improvements, and maintain campaign documentation.

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, English, education, business, or a related field.
  • Professional experience producing or coordinating communications, marketing, recruitment, customer engagement, or related campaigns.
  • Ability to write, edit, proofread, and adapt content accurately for different audiences.
  • Experience with CRM, email marketing, marketing automation, content management, or comparable digital communication tools.
  • Ability to manage concurrent deadlines, approvals, recurring campaigns, and quality checks; collaborate with varied stakeholders and handle confidential information responsibly.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Technolutions Slate; higher education or graduate admissions; segmented and personalized lifecycle campaigns; campaign reporting and testing; accessibility and plain-language practices; FERPA and student data privacy; or HTML and CSS for email.

Working Conditions/Schedule Typical schedule is Monday through Friday during regular business hours, with occasional evening or weekend work around launches, deadlines, events, or peak recruitment periods. Work is primarily computer based. This position is primarily based on campus in Corvallis. Occasional work from home may be approved based on business needs and university policy.

Salary Range $55,000-$62,000
