What they need

About Us

HazSure is an established and well-respected Occupational Hygiene Consultancy, supported by our NATA-accredited Asbestos, Mould and Silica analysis laboratory.

HazSure is considered one of the leading consultancies in the field, with some of Queensland's best on our team.

Our occupational hygiene team in Bowen Hills is growing, and this is a great opportunity to launch your career as part of a successful team. With current Olympic and government contracts keeping us busy, we're looking for a Graduate Occupational Hygiene Consultant to come on board, learn from the best, and grow with us.

You'll be welcomed into a team that prides itself on providing the highest standard of service while maintaining professional relationships with our valued clients. We provide structured training, genuine career development, and a friendly, supportive environment where questions are encouraged and good work is recognised.

Our team helps businesses manage and comply with hazardous materials, including Asbestos, Respirable Crystalline Silica, Mould and broader occupational hygiene assessments including Risk and Exposure Assessments.

The Role

This is a full-time, entry-level role based in Brisbane, with some flexibility for remote work as you build experience. You'll start out working closely alongside our senior consultants, who will train and mentor you as you develop into a capable consultant in your own right.

Under guidance, and with increasing independence as your skills grow, you'll get hands-on experience across a broad range of occupational hygiene projects, including:

  • Asbestos fibre monitoring and fibre counting
  • Conducting indoor air quality and mould assessments
  • Assisting with asbestos and HAZMAT surveys
  • Site attendance and the collection of samples, including asbestos, lead, mould laboratory samples
  • Technical report writing, with support to build it to a high standard
  • Timely QA and submission of reports

We'll also support you to obtain your Asbestos Assessor Licence (LAA) and other relevant certifications as you progress.

About You

We're looking for someone at the start of their career who is eager to learn and reliable. You don't need years of experience — we'll teach you the technical skills. What matters most is the right attitude and a willingness to get stuck in.

You'll likely have, or be close to having:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (recent graduates and final-year students welcome to apply).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with a willingness to develop your technical report writing.
  • A keenness to learn, ask questions, and develop your skills on the job.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical, careful approach to your work.
  • Punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • An interest in fieldwork and the practical, hands-on side of the role.
  • A willingness to learn to use industry-leading occupational hygiene and monitoring equipment (full training provided).
  • A current driver's licence and a willingness to travel to project sites locally, and occasionally interstate.

Any prior exposure to occupational hygiene, asbestos, or laboratory work — whether through study, placements, or work experience — is a bonus, but it's not essential.

What We Offer

  • A competitive starting salary.
  • Structured training and mentoring from some of Queensland's most experienced occupational hygiene consultants.
  • Support to obtain your Asbestos Assessor Licence (LAA) and other industry certifications.
  • A clear pathway for career development and progression.
  • A friendly, supportive team environment where you're set up to succeed.
