About the opportunity

Gateway Mining is seeking a motivated Graduate Geologist to join our exploration team and build practical experience across drilling, field operations, geological interpretation and technical reporting.

Reporting to the Senior Geologist, you will work across Gateway's Perth office and Yandal Gold Project operations. You will receive guidance from experienced geologists while contributing directly to exploration programs and the Company's resource growth objectives.

What you will do

• Assist with geological logging of drill core, RC chips and field observations to Gateway's technical standards
• Support RC, diamond, aircore and other drilling programs, including sampling, data capture and field supervision
• Assist with geological, geochemical and structural data interpretation for exploration targeting and resource development
• Maintain geological databases and support data validation, QAQC monitoring and accurate project records
• Develop capability in Micromine, QGIS, IoGas and other geological software under the guidance of senior team members
• Support field logistics and coordinate with drilling contractors, laboratories, consultants and site personnel
• Prepare technical summaries, maps, presentations and exploration updates
• Comply with Gateway's WHS, environmental, heritage, tenement and operational requirements
• Contribute to a safety-first culture and undertake other duties consistent with your qualifications, skills and experience

About you

You are a curious, safety-focused and reliable graduate or early-career geologist who is keen to develop strong technical and field capability in Western Australian gold exploration.

What you will bring

• Bachelor of Science in Geology or an equivalent tertiary qualification
• Graduate or early-career experience in exploration, mine or project geology; exposure to gold exploration is highly regarded
• An interest in geological logging, sampling, fieldwork, data quality and exploration targeting
• Familiarity with Micromine, QGIS, IoGas or comparable geological software is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail, communication, teamwork and organisational skills
• Current WA C Class Driver's Licence, or the ability to obtain one before commencing
• National Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain one
• Valid Australian work rights or eligibility under an employer-sponsored visa pathway
• Ability to work across office and remote field environments in Western Australia
