Graduate Program - GL

Summary Supports the general ledger for assigned MAG entities, posting and reviewing journals, reconciling accounts and supporting month-end close and financial statement preparation.

Tasks

• Collect supporting data for journals, accruals and provisions from branches and departments.
• Record fixed asset additions, depreciation and disposals for branch assets, tools and company vehicles.
• Post and review journal entries, accruals and inter-company entries in SAP.
• Maintain accurate GL data and account mapping.
• Prepare trial balances and supporting schedules for month-end close.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and close documentation for audit.
• Apply accounting standards and internal controls to all postings.
• Develop own accounting and SAP skills.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting) or a related field.
• Previous internship or exposure to general accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, or ERP systems is an advantage.

Experience Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant accounting experience

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
