Grain Elevator Location Manager

Frenchman Valley Coop is HIRING for an experienced Grain Elevator Location Manager in Grant, NE!

SUMMARY: To provide quality customer service, markets and products and maximize cooperative profitability through the efficient operation and utilization of grain facilities, equipment and programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all employees at location.

2. Responsible for the direction, training and supervision of all grain operations employees at a specific location or locations.

3. Responsible to provide guidelines and expectations and coordinate necessary training for weighing, grading, sampling of commodities.

4. Responsible for management of grain storage.

5. Responsible for preparation of daily inventory.

6. Responsible for recording of daily grain activity and bin boards.

7. Responsible for supervision and operation of the elevator and related equipment including routine maintenance.

8. Responsible for proper handling of all incoming, outgoing and stored grain.

9. Responsible for the inventory and control of all tools and equipment.

10. Coordinates and assists with a housekeeping program to monitor and maintain the condition of all grain, keep the facility clean and control pests.

11. Accountable for all aspects of grain location activities including routine maintenance as a working manager.

12. Assists with all elevator operations as needed.

13. Responsible to establish and implement a maintenance program to ensure equipment and vehicles operate properly and safely.

14. Responsible for the supervision, training and safety of all grain operations employees.

15. Works with employees to set individual performance goals and expectations.

16. Conducts annual performance appraisals.

17. Conducts educational and safety meetings.

18. Reviews customer complaints and resolve when possible.

19. Orders supplies and coordinates repairs, utilizing purchase orders to validate purchases and processes for payment.

20. Coordinates daily operations with elevator personnel.

21. Follows all company rules and policies.

22. Complies with all applicable OSHA, EPA and FDA rules and regulations.

23. Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

24. Takes an active role in promoting growth, progress and profitability of the cooperative.

25. Takes an active part in building high morale within the employee group.

26. Serve member patrons in a manner that will improve the economic well being and increase their patronage of the cooperative.

27. Attend meeting and training sessions as directed by supervisor.

28. Responsible for immediately correcting and notifying supervisor of any potential health or safety hazard or any other situations that might cause harm to an employee, the cooperative or the general public.

29. Gives prompt courteous service to all customers.
