Granex Pelletizing Line Operative

An opportunity to join our newly established department within recycling section at Huthwaite site. This new role is to convert recycle uPVC regrind from our off-site recycling facility through new Granex lines where it will be re-processed into pellets for direct use on our lines within Extrusions department.

You will be responsible to set and run various machines for pelletizing production, monitor and maintain the production process, to ensure finished product meets all relevant specifications and ensure all production activities are monitored to minimize downtime and scrap levels

You will be reporting to the Mixing plant and recycling Supervisor and working 3 shifts: 6.00am-2.00pm, 2.00pm-10.00pm, 10.00pm-6.00am Monday to Friday.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Developing and maintaining a robust housekeeping approach.
• Operate and monitor PVC pelletizing equipment according to specified formulations and production schedules
• Monitor the process to ensure Quality standards are maintained.
• Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety standards and ensuring procedures are always followed.
• Ensuring production schedule is adhered to.
• Ensuring all production activities are monitored to minimized downtime and scrap levels.
• Communicating performance inefficiencies, Health and Safety or quality issues to the Supervisor.
• Ensuring all relevant production administration is completed.
• Ensuring general maintenance of machinery, including striping and cleaning tools, inspecting parts, verifying, Rebuilding and adjusting the meet specification.
• Loading and un-loading bulk bags of material using counter balance and pivot steer fork lift trucks.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Experience of working within production environment, operating machinery, minimum of 3 years essential
• Operating PVC processing machinery desirable.
• Experience of working within manufacturing environment, minimum of 5 years essential.
• FLT licence
• Ability to work under pressure.
• This role involves some heavy manual handling.

Rate of pay: £14.46 per hour

Special Factors for your attention:

Although a 3-shift pattern working Monday to Friday is planned at the moment, the department requirements may change and move to a continental shift pattern if growth requires it.

Pay: £14.46 per hour
