About the roleAs a Grants Program Officer, you will play a key role in supporting all stages of grants delivery across a range of key initiatives at Multicultural Affairs, including the Multicultural Seniors Support program, the Multicultural Media Grants program and a range of programs focused on supporting priority, new and emerging multicultural communities.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement skills, a passion for systems, process and program improvement, and the ability to work flexibly across competing priorities. • Maintain accurate grants records in Grants360, in line with DPC's grants management framework and work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a team delivering complex, high-volume grant programs.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and departmental records, information security and privacy policies.
  • Provide advice and information to stakeholders on multicultural grant programs, consistent with best practice stakeholder engagement and grants management principles.
  • Provide clear and accurate verbal and written advice to senior managers and the Minister for Multicultural Affairs to support decision-making.
  • Identify risks and opportunities within grant programs and contribute to continuous improvement and best practice.
  • Comply with occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements and take reasonable care for your own health and safety, and that of others.
  • Undertake other duties as required, consistent with the responsibilities and classification of the role.
