Graphic Artist

JOB SUMMARY

The Graphic Artist / Packaging Designer is responsible for creating, developing, and preparing high-quality artwork and packaging designs for offset printing on paper and paperboard products. This role ensures that all designs meet client requirements, brand standards, and production specifications while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and print readiness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop creative and functional packaging designs based on client requirements and brand guidelines
• Prepare print-ready artwork files for offset printing, ensuring proper color settings, dielines, bleeds, and layout accuracy
• Coordinate with Sales, Account Management, and Production teams to understand project specifications and timelines
• Revise and enhance designs based on client feedback and internal quality standards
• Ensure all artwork complies with technical requirements for printing and finishing processes
• Perform pre-flight checks and quality control of files before production
• Adapt existing designs for different packaging sizes, formats, and materials
• Maintain organized file management and version control of all design projects
• Stay updated with industry trends, printing technologies, and packaging innovations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to design efficiency and quality

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia Arts, or related field
• At least 1–3 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in printing or packaging industry
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Strong knowledge of offset printing processes, color separation, and pre-press requirements
• Experience in packaging design and dieline creation is an advantage
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Artwork preparation for offset printing
• Color management (CMYK, Pantone matching)
• Dieline and packaging layout development
• File preflighting and proofing
• Basic knowledge of printing materials (paperboard, finishes, coatings)
