Graphic Artist – Team Head

Role Purpose

The Graphic Artist Team Leader will lead the graphic design team in developing artwork, layouts, branding materials, signage, retail displays, and production-ready designs for fabrication and installation projects. The role ensures that all artwork is visually accurate, technically feasible, and ready for production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Graphic Design Team.
• Assign projects and monitor workload, deadlines, and output quality.
• Create and review artwork for retail fixtures, signage, displays, branding materials, promotional materials, and installation projects.
• Prepare production-ready artwork and layouts.
• Convert client concepts and requirements into accurate visual designs.
• Ensure correct dimensions, colors, resolutions, bleed, fonts, and file specifications.
• Coordinate with Architects, Project Managers, Production, and Installation Teams.
• Review artwork before endorsement to production.
• Make revisions based on client and project requirements.
• Maintain organized design files and production artwork.
• Establish design standards and workflow within the team.
• Train and mentor junior graphic artists.
• Ensure designs are practical for actual fabrication and installation.
• Help resolve artwork and production issues.
• Participate in concept development and creative presentations.

Required Software Skills

• Adobe Photoshop – required
• Adobe Illustrator – required
• CorelDRAW – required
• SketchUp – required/preferred
• Canva or other design software is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Multimedia Arts, Advertising, or related field.
• At least 3–5 years of graphic design experience.
• At least 1–2 years in a team lead/supervisory capacity.
• Strong portfolio of branding, signage, retail displays, advertising, or production artwork.
• Experience in signage, printing, retail fixtures, advertising, fabrication, or visual merchandising is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of print and fabrication processes.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
