Graphic Design Intern

We are looking for an energetic and creative Graphic Design Intern to join the front-line Express Services team at The Print Shop. In this dynamic role, you will be the face of our fast-turnaround print and design solutions, blending creative skills with a strong customer service and sales approach. If you are passionate about design, love interacting with people, and are eager to learn the ropes of commercial print production, custom signage, and digital branding, this is the perfect opportunity to kickstart your career.

Key Responsibilities

• Express Design & Setup: Provide quick, on-the-spot design setups, minor edits, and file preparations for walk-in customers and urgent orders.
• Customer Service: Welcome clients to the express counter, understand their specific printing or design needs, and provide friendly, professional advice.
• Prepare and format vector files for various outputs to ensure seamless hand-offs to the production floor.
• Workflow Management: Ensure express jobs are processed accurately and efficiently to meet tight customer deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• A portfolio showcasing fundamental graphic design skills.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or CorelDRAW).
• A highly approachable, customer-friendly demeanor with a natural aptitude for sales and client interaction.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain basic design or print concepts clearly to clients.
• Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced retail print environment.
• An eagerness to learn about diverse production methods, from standard commercial printing to specialized laser cutting and rubber stamp creation.
