Graphic Designer

About the role

We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join the design and architecture team at Hello Smart Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As a Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating visually compelling and strategic design solutions that communicate our brand message effectively to diverse audiences. This position is integral to our creative output and contributes directly to the success of our marketing, branding and communication initiatives.

What you'll be doing

1. Developing and conceptualising original graphic designs for various media including digital, print, web and marketing collateral
2. Creating visual content that aligns with brand guidelines whilst maintaining aesthetic excellence and consistency across all platforms
3. Collaborating with marketing, communications and product teams to understand project briefs and translate concepts into compelling visual designs
4. Producing design assets including logos, illustrations, infographics, social media graphics, brochures, presentations and advertisements
5. Utilising design software and tools proficiently to create high-quality mockups, prototypes and final deliverables
6. Gathering and incorporating client and stakeholder feedback throughout the design process to refine and improve creative output
7. Staying updated with current design trends, techniques and industry best practices to maintain competitive and contemporary design standards
8. Managing multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting tight deadlines and maintaining quality standards
9. Participating in brainstorming sessions and contributing creative ideas during the conceptual development phase

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts or related discipline from a recognised institution
2. Proven professional experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design capabilities and creative range
3. Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), or equivalent design tools
4. Strong understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory and composition with the ability to apply these effectively in your work
5. Excellent visual communication skills with the ability to translate abstract concepts into clear, compelling visual designs
6. Strong attention to detail with an ability to deliver polished, error-free work consistently
7. Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
8. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
9. Time management skills with proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines
10. Familiarity with web design, UI/UX principles or motion graphics is advantageous but not essential
11. Knowledge of brand development, brand strategy and design systems is preferred
