Graphic Designer

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Graphic Designer to join our team at a local medical and educational magazine. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and coordinating visual content across various platforms, including editorial layouts, print materials, social media content, and videos. This position requires a strong eye for aesthetics, proficiency in professional art and design, and expertise in Adobe Creative Suite. The Lead Graphic Designer will also oversee the development of typography for media and ensure cohesive visual storytelling that aligns with our publication’s mission.

Duties

• Lead the design and layout of editorial content for print and digital publications, ensuring clarity, visual appeal, and brand consistency
• Create engaging social media graphics and multimedia content to promote articles, events, and campaigns
• Develop print materials such as brochures, flyers, and posters that support our magazine’s initiatives
• Edit videos for promotional use or editorial features, maintaining high production quality
• Utilize graphic design software to produce professional artwork aligned with project specifications
• Coordinate with editorial staff to ensure visual elements complement written content effectively
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Oversee the visual branding across all platforms to maintain a cohesive look and feel
• Stay updated on current design trends and incorporate innovative ideas into projects

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in layout design, print design, video editing, and social media content creation
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential
• Skilled in typography design for various media formats
• Experience with professional art or design standards within publishing or related fields preferred
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling and branding principles
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with editorial teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Prior experience leading or coordinating design projects is advantageous
