What they need

Are you a creative Graphic Designer looking for flexibility without sacrificing variety or meaningful work?

Nexan is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). We're flexible on how those hours are worked, whether that's shorter days across the week, school hours, or a mix that suits both you and the business.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of graphic design activities for a well-established New Zealand brand while also supporting the team with some marketing and administrative coordination.

About the role

This role is primarily focused on graphic design and content creation, with some administration responsibilities to support marketing activity and campaign delivery.

You'll be responsible for creating engaging visual content across a range of channels including:

  • Digital marketing campaigns
  • Social media content
  • Brochures and catalogues
  • Point of sale material
  • Newsletters and email campaigns
  • Advertising and promotional collateral
  • Event and exhibition materials.

You'll also assist with administrative tasks that help keep marketing projects running smoothly, including coordinating collateral, supplier liaison, event administration and general marketing support.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who enjoys turning ideas into compelling visual content and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in graphic design and visual content creation
  • Strong Adobe Creative Cloud skills, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • An eye for detail and strong layout, typography and brand application skills
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A collaborative and proactive approach
  • Experience with digital and print design.

An interest in New Zealand's rural sector would be an advantage but is not essential.

Why join Nexan?

Nexan is a trading division of PGG Wrightson, one of New Zealand's most recognised and trusted rural businesses, supporting rural communities for more than 175 years.

When you join Nexan you'll enjoy:

  • Flexible working arrangements across your 20 hours per week
  • A varied role combining creativity and collaboration
  • The opportunity to see your work come to life across multiple channels
  • A supportive and down-to-earth team environment
  • Ongoing development opportunities within the wider PGG Wrightson group.

Interested?

If you're looking for a flexible part-time design role where your creativity can make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
