What they need

Graphic Designer & Product Creator

Join our growing team at Sticky Art UK!
We're the UK's largest manufacturer of personalised items.

Due to continued growth and expansion, we are looking for a creative, enthusiastic and highly motivated Graphic Designer to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for design who wants to see their ideas come to life as finished products.

The role will consist of approximately 80% graphic design and product development, with the remaining 20% involving hands-on product creation and production.

We specialise in a wide variety of personalised products, including vinyl stickers, mugs, printed gifts, laser-cut items and much more.

You'll be involved in the entire creative process, from researching and developing new ideas through to designing, prototyping and helping to manufacture the finished products.

We are looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas, creativity and enthusiasm to our business, whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Graphic Design & Product Development: Create original, attractive and commercially appealing designs for our expanding product ranges.
  • New Product Creation: Develop new product concepts and transform creative ideas into finished, saleable products.
  • Online Product Listings: Prepare product artwork, promotional images and listings for our online marketplaces, including Etsy, eBay and Amazon.
  • Design Research: Research emerging trends, seasonal opportunities and potential new product ranges.
  • Digital Colour Management: Ensure accurate colours, consistency and quality across digital designs and printed products.
  • Creative Collaboration: Work closely with the business owner to brainstorm fresh ideas, explore new opportunities and develop innovative products.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Produce samples, evaluate designs and make improvements before products are launched.
  • Hands-on Production: Assist with manufacturing personalised products, including vinyl cutting, sublimation printing, laser cutting and engraving.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all designs and finished products meet our high standards of accuracy, presentation and quality.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Adobe Illustrator: A minimum of 12 months' practical experience, with a good understanding of vector graphics, typography, layouts and preparing artwork for production.
  • Adobe Photoshop: A minimum of 12 months' practical experience, including image editing, manipulation, product mock-ups and preparing high-quality digital artwork.
  • Creative Design Flair: A strong eye for design, colour, composition and typography, with the ability to produce visually appealing and commercially attractive products.
  • Exceptional Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to design and production, ensuring accuracy in spelling, measurements, positioning and finished artwork.
  • Excellent Organisational Skills: The ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with a professional and friendly telephone manner.
  • Customer Service Skills: A positive, helpful and professional approach to customer enquiries and requirements.
  • Independent Working: Confidence to work on your own initiative, identify opportunities and solve problems without constant supervision.
  • Teamwork: A willingness to collaborate, share ideas and support colleagues across different areas of the business.

Desirable Skills (Not Essential)

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous, although training can be provided:

  • Experience designing products for Etsy, eBay or Amazon.
  • Knowledge of vinyl cutting, laser cutting or engraving equipment.
  • Experience with sublimation printing, UV printing or other personalised product manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of preparing print-ready artwork, including resolution, bleed, colour profiles and vector file formats.
  • Product photography and creating realistic product mock-ups.
  • An understanding of online retail trends, product presentation and what makes an effective product listing.

The Person We're Looking For

We aren't simply looking for someone who knows how to use design software. We want someone with imagination, initiative and a genuine enthusiasm for creating products that customers will love.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Creative, motivated and full of ideas.
  • Passionate about graphic design and learning new skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful and willing to take ownership of projects.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, varied and hands-on environment.
  • Able to balance creativity with commercial awareness and practical production requirements.
  • Flexible and happy to help with different aspects of the business when required.
  • Someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Why Join Us?

You'll have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of creative projects rather than being restricted to one type of design.

Your work won't simply remain on a computer screen. You'll be able to see your ideas developed, manufactured and sold to customers through our established online stores.

You'll also gain valuable hands-on experience with different production techniques and equipment, giving you the opportunity to expand your skills beyond traditional graphic design.

Interested in joining our team?

If you're creative, ambitious and excited by the prospect of designing and developing real products, we'd love to hear from you.

Please apply with your CV and, ideally, examples of your previous design work or a portfolio showcasing your creative abilities.
