Bring Children's Products to Life

At KTL, we source and distribute a wide range of exciting toys and children's products. We're looking for a talented and experienced Graphic Designer to join our growing design team in Exeter and play a key role in creating eye-catching packaging and branding that stands out on the shelf and delights customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative designer who enjoys taking ownership of projects from concept through to production and has a passion for packaging design, branding and visual storytelling.

The Role

Working as part of our busy design team, you will be responsible for developing innovative packaging concepts and producing high-quality artwork for a wide range of toy and children's products. You'll collaborate with colleagues across the business while managing your own projects and ensuring all artwork is accurate, commercially effective, and ready for production.

Key Responsibilities

· Create original packaging designs, branding, logos and graphics for new products.

· Develop realistic mock-ups and visual presentations for internal review and customer approval.

· Prepare accurate, editable, print-ready artwork using packaging specifications.

· Edit and retouch product photography and create supporting visual assets.

· Review and amend artwork following feedback from internal stakeholders and suppliers.

· Ensure artwork is accurate, compliant and ready for production.

· Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

· Communicate effectively regarding project progress, priorities and requirements.

What We're Looking For

Essential

· Proven experience in a Graphic Design role.

· A strong portfolio demonstrating original and creative design work.

· Excellent understanding of typography, colour, layout and brand presentation.

· Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

· Experience creating print-ready artwork for commercial production.

· Good understanding of die lines, bleed, safe areas, image resolution and file preparation.

· Ability to create convincing packaging and product mock-ups.

· Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors.

· Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

· A proactive and self-motivated approach with the confidence to work independently.

Desirable

· Qualification in Graphic Design, Art & Design or a related discipline.

· Experience designing packaging for toys, children's products or consumer goods.

· Product photography and photo-retouching experience.

· Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.

· Experience writing product descriptions or packaging copy.

· Familiarity with AI image generation and editing tools within a professional design workflow.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who combines creativity with commercial awareness. You'll have a genuine passion for design, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to turn ideas into engaging packaging that appeals to consumers and enhances our brands.

Why Join KTL?

At KTL, you'll be part of a friendly and supportive team where your contribution genuinely makes a difference. We believe in creating a positive workplace, developing our people, and recognising hard work.

If you're looking for a varied role where no two days are the same and where you can build a long-term career within a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
