Graphic Designer

Job Purpose

The Graphic Designer will support the product design and marketing team in creating engaging, high-quality visual content across digital and print platforms. Working under the guidance of the Lead Creative Designer, the role will assist with producing creative materials that reflect the company’s brand identity and support its marketing and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in creating graphic designs for digital and print materials, including brochures, leaflets, posters, banners, advertisements and promotional materials.
• Create and edit content for social media platforms, websites, email campaigns and other digital channels.
• Create graphics for products and product packaging.
• Organise and maintain digital design files, images, templates and creative assets.
• Manage assigned tasks effectively, meeting agreed deadlines and maintaining a high standard of work.
• Liaising with external manufacturers and printers for product creation and printing.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Proven graphic design skills and a strong creative eye.
• A bachelor's degree or higher qualification in graphic design, visual communication, or a related discipline.
• A confident portfolio of work demonstrating creativity and design ability, including personal, educational or freelance projects.
• Strong proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other relevant applications.
• Familiarity with print production and preparing artwork for publication.
• A good eye for layout, typography, colour and visual presentation.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work to a creative brief.
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
• Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines.
• A desire for personal development and growth

Desirable:

• An interest in or experience with photography and/or video.
• Basic knowledge of social media content creation and digital marketing.

Training and Development

The Graphic Designer will receive guidance and support from Lead Creative Designer appropriate to the level needed. The role provides opportunities to develop technical design skills, build a professional portfolio and gain experience across a range of creative projects.

General Duties

You may be required to undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the level and responsibilities of the role, as directed by their line manager.

Pay: £25,500.00-£29,000.00 per year
