Graphics Label Designer

We are looking for a creative label designer to ideate and execute label designs for a variety of clients. As a label designer, you will collaborate with the creative team, sales team, R&D, and the production team to ensure that labels are correct, with no errors on nutrition facts, ingredients statements, and net weights prior to final printing process.

To ensure success as a label designer, you should have a good understanding of color calibration and technical printing standards, must be familiar with the design principles, color theory, and typography. Also, you should have at least a year of graphic designing experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create or alter basic labels for customers
• Printing and designing labels for multiple projects a day
• Select type size and style to enhance the readability of text and image
• Create graphics or logos if needed/requested by clients
• Produce drafts for review by clients and make revisions based on the feedback received.
• Review final productions for errors and ensure that final prints reflect client specifications.
• Load and change labels and ribbons on all printers; set up and check printer for problems; troubleshoot printers if errors occur.
• Keeps inventory of label stocks and printer inks
• Work from a desktop computer in an office setting

SKILLS REQUIRED
Communication - You must be able to confer advice and suggestions from clients, as well as
understand what they want.

Time Management - We work on multiple production runs at a time and must be able to juggle several projects simultaneously and in a timely fashion.

Teamwork - The label team must stay in contact with sales, RND, and production to ensure that labels are correct and ready when the production cycle is complete.

Eye For Details - We are an FDA regulated facility and labels must be carefully checked and monitored to ensure there are no errors on nutrition and ingredients statements.

Technical - Must be familiar with and comfortable working with computers, printers, and lamination work. Training provided for the VIP and Afinia printers. Must know how to use Microsoft office. Must be somewhat familiar with Corel Draw/ Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Education - High school diploma or equivalent
