Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Graveyard Server to join our dynamic hospitality team during nighttime hours. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment during the late-night shift, providing exceptional guest service, ensuring food and beverage quality, and maintaining a lively yet professional atmosphere. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems such as OpenTable or similar platforms.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process sales transactions efficiently.
• Serve food, beverages, cocktails, and spirits with professionalism, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to safety standards.
• Upsell menu items including wines, specialty drinks, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, bar area, and service stations; bus tables promptly to ensure a tidy environment.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments swiftly, and provide correct change while following cash handling procedures.
• Engage with guests to foster positive relations, address inquiries about menu items or specials, and ensure overall guest satisfaction during late-night hours.

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order entry and sales processing.
• Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques.
• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy night shifts.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience with reservation platforms like OpenTable is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
