LeaderBrand's Future Farms facility in Gisborne brings together horticulture, technology and sustainability to find smarter ways of growing fresh produce.

With automated irrigation, rainwater harvesting, electric harvesting equipment and plenty of innovation happening behind the scenes, this isn't your average growing operation.

We're looking for a Greenhouse Operator to join the small team helping make it all happen.

What you'll be doing: This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll learn about the whole growing process, including:

• Planting and caring for crops
• Monitoring crop health
• Ground preparation and general crop work
• Operating tractors and specialised machinery
• Spraying and fertiliser application
• Harvesting
• Basic machinery checks and maintenance
• Keeping crop and work records up to date

Who are we looking for?

You don't need to know everything already.

You might have experience in horticulture, farming or machinery operation – or you might simply be someone who likes growing things, enjoys practical work and is keen to learn.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is practical and enjoys hands-on work
• Has a genuine interest in plants and growing
• Is reliable and willing to learn
• Is comfortable working with machinery and technology
• Works well as part of a team
• Takes pride in doing things properly and safely
• Holds a full NZ driver's licence

Tractor, spraying, GrowSafe or forklift experience would be useful, but training can be provided for the right person.
