The role involves planting, cultivating, harvesting, packing, and maintaining crops while following workplace health, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plant, transplant, water, and maintain greenhouse crops.
• Monitor plants for pests, diseases, and overall growth.
• Prune, trim, stake, and provide general plant care as required.
• Harvest crops according to quality and production requirements.
• Sort, grade, weigh, label, and pack harvested produce.
• Prepare soil, growing media, containers, and planting areas.
• Maintain clean and organized greenhouse work areas.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of plants and materials.
• Operate basic greenhouse tools and equipment safely.
• Follow instructions, production schedules, and health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous greenhouse, farm, horticulture, or agricultural experience is an asset.
• No formal degree required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work for extended periods.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in warm and humid greenhouse conditions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and seasonal peak periods.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
