Grid Performance, Compliance and External Affairs Prinicipal Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure that System Operations policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and other related documentations are available and relevant as required by SO, NGCP, certifying bodies and regulators, as well as the compliance to the requirements of ISO Management Systems being implemented/directed by the management.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibility 1: PROCEDURES DEVELOPMENT/DOCUMENTATION

Responsible for the development and documentation of policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and other related documentations as required by SO, NGCP, certifying bodies and regulators.

Tasks:

• Study the conditions/ obligations for the procedure being required and gather information through coordination with concerned workgroups and/or conduct research like benchmarking with other power- related companies, etc.
• Prepare draft of the new procedure based on the gathered information.
• Organize series of meetings with concerned workgroups to present and discuss the draft procedure and solicit comments and inputs based on their actual practice and knowledge on corporate, regulatory and other requirements leading to the finalization of the draft procedure.

Responsibility 2: PROCESS REVIEW AND HARMONIZATION

Responsible for the review and harmonization of policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and other related documentations and ensure applicability and relevance of those documents to the existing process and as required by SO, NGCP, certifying bodies and regulators.

Tasks:

• Review the existing procedure by the first month of every year or as necessary, particularly if there are major changes in the organization.
• Initiate and make necessary revision or harmonization of procedures with coordination to concerned workgroups.
• Draft the revised/harmonized procedure and coordinate its applicability to all concerned until finalized.

Responsibility 3: SUSTENANCE AND COMPLIANCE TO APPLICABLE ISO STANDARDS

Act as one of the focal persons for the thorough implementation of ISO Management Systems that are directed by the management e.g., Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, Business Continuity and Enterprise Risk Management Systems, among others.

Tasks:

• Provide major support and assistance in the development of plans and programs and other activities for the implementation of ISO Management Systems as directed by the management.
• Provide major support and assistance in the implementation of activities necessary for compliance to the requirements of ISO Management Systems as directed by the management.

Responsibility 4: INFORMATION SECURITY, SAFETY AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Ensure that activities are fully compliant with NGCP information security, safety and quality standards.

Tasks:

• Complies with applicable regulations and NGCP standards on information security, safety and quality.
• Strives for the continuous improvement of NGCP processes necessary for the achievement of corporate objectives.
• Upholds corporate policies and guidelines

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Applicable Licensure Exam
• Three (3) years work related experience
• 40 hours trainings on any ISO Standards
• Three (3) years requirements relevant to the job
• In depth knowledge in relevant ISO Standards and
• Auditing Skills, Power Regulatory Requirements, and Philippine Grid Code

Pay: Php40,709.05 - Php57,500.28 per month
