Grill Cook- Full Time

Job Summary:

We’re looking for a reliable, hardworking Cook to join our kitchen team at our small, locally owned restaurant. As a cook, you'll be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes according to our menu, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and helping create a positive dining experience for our guests. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s passionate about food, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a close-knit team. Must have evening and weekend availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items in a timely and consistent manner
• Assist with prep work, such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces
• Follow recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and kitchen area
• Ensure food is stored and handled safely according to health and safety standards
• Help receive and stock kitchen inventory and supplies
• Communicate clearly with team members and assist with daily kitchen operations
• Occasionally contribute ideas for specials or new menu items

Qualifications:

• Previous cooking or prep experience preferred (but willing to train the right person)
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety, and sanitation standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a small team and multitask under pressure
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
