Grill Cook/Prep Cook

About the Role

La Strada Mobile Kitchen is a beloved Saint Petersburg food truck serving the Tampa Bay area. We need dependable team members who show up on time, work hard, and don't complain.

Shift Responsibilities Overview

• Take orders and provide fast, friendly customer service
• Prep ingredients, work the grill
• Keep the truck clean, organized, and safe during service
• Participate in weekly and monthly deep-cleaning (scrubbing, mopping, degreasing)
• Restock inventory and handle end-of-day closing duties
• Follow all food safety standards to the letter

Physical Requirements

You will be working in a tight, fast-moving mobile kitchen. To succeed here, you MUST be able to:

• Lift 50 lbs repeatedly – flour bags, oil jugs, and heavy supply boxes
• Climb 5–6 flights of stairs multiple times per shift to get in and out of the truck
• Stand for 5–6 hours straight with constant bending, reaching, and twisting
• Handle Florida heat – the truck gets hot, especially near the grills and ovens
• Work in close quarters with 2–3 other team members without getting flustered
• Hear orders clearly and read digital screens in a loud environment

If you have physical limitations that prevent any of the above, then this will not meet the job requiirements.
