Duties

• Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to established recipes and standards
• Ensure all food is cooked safely, maintaining proper food handling and sanitation practices
• Assist with menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring consistency in dish presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station, including proper knife skills and equipment upkeep
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for restocking
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
• Follow food safety regulations diligently to uphold health standards and prevent contamination

Skills

• You will also receive Tips on the job. Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within the food industry
• Strong knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
• Expertise in grilling techniques, knife skills, and meal preparation methods
• Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and fine dining service standards
• Excellent food handling skills with a focus on safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and serve guests professionally
