About the Role

Set up and operate surface or cylindrical grinding machinery to finish metal components to precise dimensions, flatness, parallelism, and surface finish specs.

What You'll Do

• Setup & Grinding: Mount, balance, and dress grinding wheels; set magnetic chucks/fixtures; operate grinders cleanly without overheating or chatter.
• Quality Inspection: Measure parts frequently for flatness, parallelism, squareness, and surface roughness.
• Safety & Care: Perform pre-use safety checks on guards and coolant, maintain 5S, and report wheel/machine wear immediately.

Qualifications

• Tech/Vocational grad in Machining, Precision Grinding, or Tool & Die (Senior High Tech track accepted).
• 1–2 years precision grinding experience preferred (entry-level eligible after assessment).
• Skilled in wheel dressing/selection, reading surface-finish symbols, and using precision gauges.
