Grinder - Welding & Surface Preparation

CTF Consoles is a Dubai-based manufacturer of technical furniture and control room consoles. We have 2 openings for this role in our production workshop in Dubai.

Job Purpose

Prepare welded metal components through grinding, deburring and surface smoothing to meet dimensional and finish requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Grind weld beads and joints to the specified finish.
• Remove sharp edges, burrs, spatter and surface irregularities.
• Prepare surfaces for putty application, sanding, painting or powder coating as applicable.
• Use angle grinders, flap discs, grinding wheels and suitable abrasive tools.
• Maintain component flatness, edge profiles and dimensions during grinding.
• Inspect prepared surfaces, identify defects and report items requiring rework.
• Protect finished surfaces and maintain equipment and work-area safety.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3–4 years of experience in metal grinding and fabrication surface preparation.
• Familiarity with thin-gauge sheet metal and welded furniture components.
• Knowledge of abrasive discs, grinding techniques and surface-finish requirements.
• Ability to achieve smooth, consistent surfaces without damaging base material.

General Requirements

• Relevant hands-on experience in manufacturing, fabrication or workshop operations.
• Ability to follow technical drawings, work instructions and role-specific quality standards.
• Strong focus on workmanship, productivity, safety and material handling.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production, assembly, finishing and quality-control teams.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing workshop environment in Dubai, UAE.
• Relevant trade qualifications and experience in technical furniture or console manufacturing are an advantage.
• Prefer candidates available for immediate transfer.

Salary: AED 1,200 - 2,000 per month

Candidates may be asked to complete a practical assessment as part of the selection process.

Pay: AED1,200.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
