Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Grinding Supervisor to supervise grinding operations, manpower, production targets and quality requirements. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Cylindrical Grinding / Centerless Grinding / ID & OD Grinding and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day grinding production activities.
• Plan and allocate manpower according to production requirements.
• Monitor production targets, productivity and machine utilization.
• Handle Cylindrical, Centerless, ID & OD Grinding operations.
• Ensure proper machine setting, tool selection and process parameters.
• Monitor component quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance and Production teams.
• Identify and reduce rejection, rework and machine downtime.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and customer requirements.
• Conduct shift-wise production monitoring and reporting.
• Maintain 5S, safety and housekeeping standards in the shop floor.
• Train and guide operators and setters.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and work instructions.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of grinding machines and grinding processes.
• Knowledge of ID / OD / Cylindrical / Centerless Grinding.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge and Gauges.
• Production planning and manpower handling skills.
• Knowledge of quality standards and rejection control.
• Good problem-solving and team-management skills.

Qualification

Diploma / ITI / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering or related discipline.

Experience

1 - 5 years of relevant experience in Grinding / Precision Engineering / Automobile Manufacturing.

Salary

₹30,000 - 35000 per month, depending on experience and technical skills.
